On January 15th 2011, OIVillage.com will be taken off line. This has been a hard decision to make, but one that hopefully will only work out for the best of all our users.

Since we launched almost 3 years ago we have seen decreased use of the site. Now, we are at around 2 visitors a day. This low amount of traffic doesn't justify the high expense of hosting and maintenance. Also, it appears that many spammers, and scam artist have targeted the site attempting to take advantage of our users.

In an effort to cut cost and protect our user's privacy and information, we will be taking the site off line on January 15th 2011, and deleting all user content.

I started OIVillage as a fun social outlet for people affected with OI. Since then, other social networking sites have increased in popularity and we have seen more OI related groups being started. I would like to urge all of you to take advantage of these groups (below) to continue networking with the larger OI global family.
